The Allegheny National Forest home page offers some general information on this section.
Forest County is about half within the ANF. Their website offers information about local resources and attractions.
Find info and a few pictures about the Cook Forest State Park which is the next public land south of Allegheny.
The trail passes through Moraine State Park.
The trail continues southwest through McConnell's Mill State Park.
