HI! I'm Janet VandeVoorde, born Janet Bardos, lived in Custer all my life. I have been working at Mason County Eastern Schools since Nov., 1973 where I have done a little bit of everything. I am currently in charge of ordering things, textbooks, workbooks, and supplies. I do bus reports, bus lists, check in orders and make sure the right items get to the right people. I also drive school bus and have been lucky enough to have several new buses over the years. I also have been very lucky in that I now am even having students on my bus that I drove their parents to school. I sincerely love working here and hope and pray it will continue. Back in 1971 I gave birth to a baby girl, named Tina. She is and always will be the apple of my eye. Tina now lives in Petosky, with her husband Jon Jackoviak, and she is a seretary while Jon works for the DNR. In 1979 I was married to Don Allen, living on Schoenherr Rd. for about 7 years. In 1989, I married Mike VandeVorde, and we have celebrated our 8th anniversary already. How time flys! I hope to see all of my old classmates at our 30th reunion next year. Janet
