No doubt you've heard all the stories. The alien ship that crashed at Roswell, New Mexico. The countless UFO sightings. Tales of abduction, experiments, and takeover of human beings by extraterrestrials. You may believe it, you may not.

John Loengard didn't believe it. He was just a government aide on a routine fact-finding trip to narrow down some unnecessary spending. One of his interviews is with a farm couple who have a strange story of UFO sightings and alien arrivals they have witnessed. Loengard approaches his tasks cheerfully, with an almost joking attitude toward the man's tale. Soon, though, he makes a shocking discovery.

Every word of it is true.

The aliens are among us, implanting humans with ganglion that inhabits the brain stem, taking complete control. An incredibly large network of alien life, known as the Hive, working together to take over the human race.

Dark Skies is an exciting new series that chronicles the travels and discoveries of Loengard and Sayers as they attempt to disrupt the plans of the Hive and bring the news of their arrival to the world. They live on the run from Majestic 12, the top secret, ultra-powerful government organization that operates above the law to fight the alien invasion and, more importantly, keep it secret.

The show gives an interesting twist on all the "conspiracy theories" and unexplained events of the last 50 years of history: they were masterminded by the alien Hive.

	It began in 1947, when a Hive spacecraft landed in Roswell, New Mexico and met with President Truman. Nicknamed the Grays because of their physical appearance, the aliens emerged and, using a telepathic translator, demanded humanity's unconditional surrender. Shocked and terrified, Truman ordered them seized and their ship to be shot down. In an attempt to prevent the inevitable invasion, Truman formed an agency known as Majestic-12, the secret organization answerable only to him. At the head of Majestic was Captain Frank Bach, who soon after recruited John Loengard because he uncovered sensitive information, and could be a use to them. Loengard, however, became disenchanted with Majestic's policy of secrecy, and left the organization to attempt to bring the truth to the public. He and Kim Sayers obtained proof of the Hive's efforts and brought them to the attention of President Kennedy, who promised them his support. Unfortunately, his extensive knowledge of the Hive brought about his assassination. On the run from the Hive and from Majestic, Loengard and Sayers traveled the country, constantly trying to fight the Hive's efforts, and always looking for a chance to reveal their secret to the world. At last, the chance came. Attorney General Robert Kennedy brought them before the Warren Commission, and Loengard testified as to the true nature of Kennedy's death and the resulting cover up. However, Majestic blackmailed Kennedy into withdrawing support from Loengard, and his testimony was ignored. With nowhere to turn, Loengard returned to Majestic, and successfully organized the capture of a live Gray, and the safe removal of the ganglion from its brain, effectively "de-Hiving" it. It recovered, and began to communicate with those around it.
	Still with Majestic, Loengard aides in the fight against the Hive. While resenting the secretive nature of the organization, he nevertheless needs the resources and "freedom" of Majestic to make any progress against the Hive. He has been dealt a severe blow, however. Kim has been implanted by the Hive, and now she and their newborn son have been taken away from him completely. Loengard has lost the purpose of his quest against the Hive, desiring only to safely recover his son from the aliens. Operating now with Juliet Stuart, Loengard follows Hive activities all over the country. Tracking down a massive drug campaign, they discover former Majestic agent and Hive operative Jim Steele creating incredibly powerful drugs that connect the human brain directly to the Hive collective mind, allowing the aliens to absorb knowledge from humanity. Upon their return to Majestic, Loengard volunteers for Project Intruder, a daring mission to place a subject onto the Hive's mothership. Loengard and Stuart take the place of California Governor Ronald Reagan and his wife, and are soon abducted by the Hive. Once on the mothership, Loengard makes his way through the winding tunnels until he finds a large room, filled with children's toys. The Hive has been kidnapping children for brief periods of time, to prepare them for the day that humans and Hive would be one. He finds his son there, and hand-in-hand they walk away from the surrounding Grays.
	With each passing day the Hive gains an increasing foothold on humanity. Minor victories allow Majestic to maintain its secret funding, but the Hive continues to pursue its ultimate plan: the total annihilation and enslavement of mankind. Will they succeed? Only time will tell... The Gray in Majestic custody is now dead, the victim of earthborn viruses that contaminated the air filters in its holding cell. Masterminded by Security Chief Albono, a Hive implantee, this incident is used by the Board of Directors as the last mistake of Captain Bach's control of the organization. With Attorney General Robert Kennedy casting the deciding vote, Bach is removed as Director, and Albono is placed in temporary command. Shortly before he kills Bach, Albono privately reveals the Hive's growing presence on Earth, extending thier control now even to electronic equipment. In the years to come, the Hive would be everywhere... radios, televisions, cars, computers, everything. A message is received and decoded from outer space by top secret listening posts, and translated by Majestic into an intelligible television signal. It is a message from the Grays... the true Grays, before they had been conquered by the Hive. It is a warning, to all of humanity, about the dangers of the oncoming Hive. The message also contains information revealing a tenth planet in a huge orbit around the sun. The extremely long elliptical orbit intersects Earth's orbit every 3600 years, and will bring the Hive society directly to our planet. The projected time of the tenth planet's arrival? The year 2000.
