Dial-Up Configuration

Instructions: The following screens are duplicates of the ones that should
appear in your system. Yours may vary slightly.

  1. From your desktop (the page you first see when starting Windows) DOUBLE CLICK on the My Computer icon to open it. The screen to the left should appear.

  2. Double Click on DIAL-Up NETWORKING.

You should now see a screen similar to the one on the left.

  1. With your RIGHT mouse button Click one time on the icon that says Dial T-One (yours may say something different).

  2. With the Left mouse button click one time on PROPERTIES.

You should now see a screen similar to the one on the left.

  1. There are 4 tabs at the top of this scren. Make sure you are on the GENERAL tab.

  2. View the information on your screen to verify it is the same as that on the sample screen.

    The telephone number you are dialing will vary depending on the area you are in.

    T-One's Phone Numbers are as follows:

    Scottville Digital: 757-1100
    Scottville Analog: 757-0229
    Ludington Digital: 845-9812
    Manistee Digital: 723-0055
    Manistee Analog: 723-2021

    Use the number for your calling area.

    If you have problems connecting to the digital number, you may be able to connect through the analog number.

  3. Under the CONNECT USING box the modem listed for your system will more than likely be different.

  4. Click on the SERVER TYPES TAB.

  5. Click here for the next step.

You should now see a screen similar to the one on the left.

  1. Verify that the ONLY BOXES checked are Enable Software Compression and TCP/IP.

  2. If it is taking a long time to connect to T-One the Log On To Network box may be checked. Make sure this box is NOT checked.

  3. Near the bottom of the screen click on TCP/IP SETTINGS button.

  4. Click here for the next step.

You should now see a screen similar to the one on the left.

  1. Verify that your settings match the ones on the example to the left.

  2. Click OK.

  3. Click OK on the next screen.

    You may now close any other windows that are still open.

    That's it!! Your dial-up connection to T-One should now be setup properly.
