Setting Up Eudora E-mail

Instructions: The following screens are duplicates of the ones that should
appear in your system (yours may vary slightly. Verify that your screen selections match these.

  1. After installing Eudora E-Mail you should see a screen very similar to the one on the left.

  2. At the top click on Tools and then on Options

  1. Under the Category Heading click on Getting Started. You may need to use the scroll bar to find the getting started icon.

  2. In the box under POP account: enter username@pop3.t-one.net (substituting your username for the word username. Be sure to enter this all in lower case.

  3. In the box under Real name: enter the name you wish people to see when they receive e-mail from you.

  4. Under Connection Method: Make sure the only box that is checked is next to Winsock (Network, PPP, SLIP)

  5. Click on Personal Info

  1. You should now see a screen similar to the one on the left.

  2. The information for the POP account and real name should already be correct from what you just entered in the previous screen.

  3. In the box under the text Return address: enter your e-mail address using the box on the left as an example. DO NOT put the word 'mail.' in your e-mail return address, and be sure it is all entered in lower case.

  4. Leave the text box Dialup username: blank.

  5. Click on Hosts

  1. You should now see a screen similar to the one on the left.

  2. Again the POP account: will already be shown from your previous entry.

  3. In the box under SMTP enter: smtp.t-one.net Don't forget 'smtp.' in front of t-one.net here. Be sure to enter the SMTP server in all lower case.

  1. You should now see a screen similar to the one on the left.

  2. A good number to use for checking e-mail is every 20 minutes.

  3. If you wish for Eudora to remember your password be sure to click on the save password box.

  4. Click OK

    That's it!! Your e-mail should be configured correctly. Eudora e-mail is capable of many other options such as, playing sounds when e-mail arrives (you've got mail), but you can explore these other options at your leisure.

    Don't forget to maximize your Eudora screen so you can see all the buttons and options available.

  5. Now, try to send and receive email.

    If ever you are not sure you are sending or receiving your e-mail properly try sending one to yourself. Just address an e-mail to yourself, send it, and check for new mail a few moments later. If everything is configured properly you will receive the mail in your inbox.
