W32.WELCHIA.worm aka W32.NACHI.worm In our continuing effort to provide our subscribers with the best Internet service available we would like to inform you about the above mentioned worm heavily circulating the Internet. The worm known as W32.WELCHIA.worm by Norton Anti-Virus and W32NACHI.worm by McAfee Anti-Virus spreads by exploiting a hole in Microsoft Windows. After successfully infecting a computer the worm CONTINUALLY requests information from other computers on the Internet causing EXTREMELY high amounts of Internet traffic which in turn causes infected computers to respond very slowly or not at all. As always, T-One Internet Services recommends you have anti-virus software installed on your computer and keep it up to date. Click here to read Lyle's more in-depth newsletter.
